The vessels in this display reflect the influence of the Aegean as well as of Cyprus, Egypt and the Land of Israel. The shapes of the vessels on the display to your left, such as the jug with the spout and the round box-like vessel, are similar to those in front of you, while the group of bottles resembles the Cypriot bottle on the display to your left. Ornamentations such as spirals and black and red stripes around the vessels are also typical of the Aegean. This type of vessel appeared in the Land of Israel at the beginning of the 12th century BCE with the arrival of the Philistines and continued into the 11th century BCE. What happened to the Philistine vessels in the following centuries can be seen on the display to your right.
